Well, good thing we left early.
That Who concert in Tampa last night wasn't actually in Tampa at all. I don't know why I thought it was. It was in Sunrise, which is almost an hour longer drive for us than Tampa.
And regardless of what you may read, we left the show marveling at the strength of Roger Daltrey's voice at age 81.
The setlist was a good one
overall, though everyone will have his nitpicks. We had to sit through the very dated sounding "My Generation" and the fruity "You Better You Bet," sadly, but we were at least spared the unlistenable "Magic Bus."
(And if you're going to play yet another song from the excellent Who's Next album, why not the vastly superior "Getting in Tune" rather than "Love Ain't for Keeping"?)
Instead, we were indeed treated to "The Song Is Over," the most underrated number in the band's catalogue, as I had hoped for when I wrote to you yesterday.
This being their North American farewell tour (with Daltrey 81 years old and his hearing nearly gone, I think we can take them at their word), it was the last time I'll hear Daltrey -- who has some pretty based political opinions, by the way -- sing:
I'll sing my song
to the wide open spaces
I'll sing my heart out to the infinite sea
I'll sing my visions to the sky-high mountains
I'll sing my song to the free, to the free
After a career that spanned 61 years, they are calling it a day.
But you, dear friend, are just getting started.
Today is the last day to view my most recent
video (very detailed, as usual) on the most basic model for monetizing the Internet.
(I have been describing my three free videos as a "trilogy," but that's not really true -- each one is standalone and self-contained, looking at the same question from different angles.)
This is for people with existing businesses who'd like to generate more revenue, and
absolute beginners who don't even have a niche.
At the link below, in addition to the recording of my final webinar (and you can benefit from it even if you didn’t see the first two), you will also find out how,
instead of spinning your wheels for another eight months or two years or 10 years or forever, you can get this entire kind of business set up for you in three days, working right with me in
person. But the video comes down at midnight, so check it out now:
