I remember Gary North writing an article years ago called something like: "How I finish my work every day at noon."
The answer? "I wake up at 3:00am."
Not quite the secret I was hoping for.
I actually recorded an episode of the Tom Woods Show years ago called "My
Productivity Secret." It remains the only clickbaity title in the show's history, because the "secret" was that I worked all the time (making a large allowance for time with the kids, of course) and deprived myself of things that brought me joy.
Not the kind of secret anyone was longing to hear. (I have since adopted other productivity strategies that have made my life a lot more pleasant, but that's a story for another
day.)
Well, here's some good news -- specifically for those of you who have had the ambition to write a book, which based on the correspondence I get is about half of you.
You can actually get that darn thing done this very year, and without waking up at 3:00am.
A handful of you have read Chandler Bolt's excellent book Published! Well, he's giving a presentation
specifically on how to get your book done in 2025. No more hopes, delays, excuses, or fantasies. Done in 2025.
At the end he'll tell you about his Self-Publishing School, which my readers recommend highly. You do not need to join that in order to get some extremely helpful strategies from his presentation.
You don't need to wake up at 5:00am.
You
don't need to lock yourself in a cabin.
You don't even need to write every day.
