Let's talk about how to handle an oddball
situation: I'm part of something that's too good for its own good.
Let me explain. (This being my business list, I want to look at the business side of what I'm doing on my other list.)
I just interviewed nuclear-engineer-turned-options-trader Troy Broussard on the Tom Woods Show, and I said, in effect, that not in a million years did I ever expect to start options trading,
but now I wouldn't give it up for anything in the world.
The framework is conservative -- you need literally level zero options approval for it -- and is the opposite of "gambling."
It generates one percent a week for me. That's what the trolls can't get over. That's impossible, they say.
Nope. I have the Schwab
account to prove it.
So in this situation what do you do? This is a niche in which the general public is already jaded, and then you go and share results like that -- and on top of that, even point out that the results seem pretty typical for people in the community?
It's actually tempting to cut my numbers down so they'll seem more plausible to the average person, but I'm
not going to lie to make people listen to me.
Testimonials can work, yes. They are very valuable in most situations. But in areas where people are skeptical and jaded, testimonials won't take you as far. Jaded readers will assume you've selectively chosen only the happy customers.
In that kind of situation I think as a business owner you have two possible courses of action,
which can work in tandem.
One is an endorsement from a person whom a particular audience trusts. That means more than 25 testimonials from strangers.
The second is to rely on a neutral, third-party testimonial hub like TrustPilot. Businesses cannot remove negative reviews from TrustPilot.
Here is the TrustPilot page for Low Stress Trading:

Troy and I are doing live calls every weekday this week at 5pm Eastern (an hour after you receive this email, the next one will begin), and we'll talk and take questions and have a great time.
Joining us also will be the great Ben
Settle, whose name I think many of you know. Ben writes:
"One thing we will definitely do on at least one of the calls is read the troll comments and have fun with them, while also answering the legit objections.
"It is going to be a good time. Troy Broussard and I have worked this out over the past year and these calls are not so much sales calls as a talk
radio morning zoo show -- fun, informative, and more engaging than anything I've ever seen in nearly 25 years in this business."
