Here is a genuine puzzle I have been trying to
solve.
This being my business list, let's look at the business side of something I talked about on my political/podcast email list, because we can all learn something from it.
Here is the claim:
Every week, with one to two hours of work, I generate a one percent return -- which, when compounded, is nearly 68 percent a year.
This has absolutely transformed the way I think about my family's future.
Now that is an extraordinary claim. So much so that you think: that can't be true.
But in this case it is true. Call it a glitch in the Matrix or something (that's what I call it), but it absolutely is true.
This is the
claim of Low Stress Options (LSO).
Now: how do you promote something like that?
One way to do so is with affiliates. I would never have joined a program like this (trading options? yeah, right) had it not been promoted by Ben Settle, someone I would trust with my life.
The credibility of the affiliate gets transferred to the offer.
That's why so many of my readers (we're about 40 percent of the entire membership!) joined LSO. They said: if Tom insists on this so hard, I have to look into it.
(They sure are happy now, by the way.)
Second is with testimonials. LSO doesn't use testimonials because they think people will assume that the testimonials they present are selective, and that they're simply hiding all the bad
ones. So they do the next best thing: they point to TrustPilot reviews, which everyone knows are reliable, and on TrustPilot their record is fantastic.
I myself have been using testimonials in my promotion. I wrote a 30-page eBook that's almost entirely testimonials from Woods readers. But almost as soon as I published it, it became out of date: just since its publication I have received so many more testimonials that I have to produce
a whole new edition.
So that's what I'll do: four times a year I'll generate a new edition of that eBook. Before too long I'll have fifty, seventy, one hundred pages of testimonials.
At some point the sheer number of testimonials starts to wear your prospects down -- with this many testimonials surely there has to be something to it.
