Next time I'd better keep a closer eye on my parties.

I hadn't really been keeping track of the RSVPs, and of how many people would be bringing plus-ones.

There's a percentage of rude people every year who simply flake on me without bothering to tell me they can't come, despite my best efforts to urge people to keep me informed as to whether they can attend or not.

To make up for that I invite more people than I might ideally want in the house, and then with the flakes not showing, it ends up coming out about right.

We came close to going over my maximum preferred number of attendees because this year, lots of attendees were especially certain not to flake.

Why? Because in addition to members of my Supporting Listeners program, I also invited everyone who joined Low Stress Options (LSO) through me, and they all wanted to meet Troy Broussard, who was my special guest at the party, in person.
