Here's how crazy and amazing the
print-on-demand world is.
(1) You don't have to make anything, physically.
(2) You don't have to spend any dough on inventory, since you don't need it.
(3) You don't have to ship (or even touch) anything.
(4) And in this model, you don't need any design skill -- at all.
For instance, one of the best-selling mug designs has been a white mug with black letters that simply spell out:
"meh."
How much skill do you suppose it takes to tell the print-on-demand company that makes the mugs to print the word "meh" on them?
So it's a great, low-investment, simple, easy-to-understand way of getting your feet wet. Some of my folks even do it as their full-time gig.
