At my 1000th podcast episode event, my daughters surprised me by partaking in the roast of me.
Amy, our middle child, said to a room half of which had attended a special dinner beforehand that I'd held for supporters: "Dad buys off-brand groceries because he says you can't taste the difference. Hope you enjoyed your dinner!"
Savage.
You get what you pay for, is the general rule the family tries to insist on with me.
That is generally a good rule. But with the Internet, you can get so much great stuff for free that maybe we need to rethink it.
Exhibit A:
This week I arranged for a free workshop for you on how to use Amazon and similar sites to sell simple print-on-demand items. And the consensus is: "I watched it and said, 'Now this is something I could do!'"
A libertarian homeschooling mom just wrote to tell me that she's excited about doing it, and also that she's got her kids doing it as well.
Lots of my folks are doing it already. One Tom Woods Show listener even created a whole podcast about it.
But: the replay of Rachel Rofe's presentation is close to being taken down for good.
When you watch it you'll say: good thing I listened to Woods.
Here's that newbie entry point you've told yourself you've been waiting for.
