You've heard
the latest gaffe:
Joe Biden said "poor kids" were just as smart and talented as "white kids."
Ouch.
He says he meant to say "wealthy kids."
The guy is a disaster.
And as for wealthy kids and poor kids:
Not having been a wealthy kid myself, I can only speculate, but I tend to think the wealthy kids tend not to rock the boat. They follow the respectable, well-worn path: college, degree in anything, then sit by the phone and wait until someone finds you useful.
That strategy worked great when I was in school in the 1990s. Not working as great anymore.
The poor kids, meanwhile, have much less to lose by trying a more unorthodox path.
My sense from Internet marketing, which confirms my suspicions here, is that most of these people do not have advanced degrees. But they earn a hell of a lot more than most people who do.
A great example of an unorthodox and yet tried-and-tested way of generating an income stream is sitting right in front of you: the replay of Ann Sieg's workshop with us. She's the founder of the Ecommerce Business School. She spent some time with us last week on how people build simple arbitrage businesses from their laptop computers.
You're just as smart and talented as the folks who are doing this.
So go check it out before it's taken down at midnight PT:
