My old friend John Rao, who holds a doctorate in history from Oxford, puts it this way: "Most people, throughout history, do absolutely nothing. They're playing video games."
You can turn this to your advantage. (See point 3 in my list below.)
All the successes I've had have come from breaking free of routine and doing something different. Something no "job" required me to do.
No job required me to create free eBooks to build an email list, or start a podcast, or figure out how to be an effective affiliate marketer, or create my own products.
I had to break out of my comfort zone to do these things.
And thanks to these things, I lead a much more comfortable, stress-free life than I once did.
A solid approach for you? Start a blog site, for reasons I've already mentioned:
(1) It improves your writing.
(2) It can establish you as an expert.
(3) It distinguishes you from everyone else -- if your blog site is related to your business, you may well be the only person running a blog about your field (certainly the only one at your firm doing so). This distinguishes you from the paper pushers.
(4) It gives you a home base from which to sell future products, most of which you may not be able to imagine right now.
(5) It gives you a home base from which, on an affiliate basis, to pitch relevant products to your followers.
(6) You can spend as much or as little time on it as you like.
There are other reasons. But those should be enough.
What holds most people back? They think it's too hard, and they don't know where to start.
I can have you up and running in five minutes with my demo video, which you'll find at the link below.
Black Friday weekend is the best time to get your web hosting -- Bluehost is offering it for a mere $2.65 per month, an insane rate you won't get any other time of year.
And if you get it through my link, I'll send some of my audience your way. Plus several other helpful bonuses.
Deal?
