Here's the way I look at it:
You can either spend a fortune trying to attract an enormous audience, and have only a tiny fraction of them want what you're offering. I see lots of people trying to do this.
Or you can attract a much, much smaller audience, but know exactly what they want.
I know which one I'd rather do.
It's not necessarily that people following the first method are actually unintelligent; they may simply not know any better.
But Ryan Levesque (guest on Tom Woods Show episode #1601), who's the expert on this, has a video laying out how to find out exactly what that crowd of people wants, as well as the four psychological triggers that tend to make people eager to buy without your having to be aggressive and salesy.
His approach has had phenomenal results for his businesses and for the businesses of people who have followed it.
