Why did -- for example -- the Drudge Report, which should know better, join Team Apocalypse?
One reason must surely be that sensationalism sells.
Nobody gets excited and clicks your link when you say, "This virus is something to be concerned about but it will ultimately be manageable if we exercise some common sense."
The same hype mentality is alive and well in Internet marketing.
People who make wild and ridiculous claims for their products -- e.g., you'll make X smackers in just Y days -- wind up making lots of sales.
People who are more realistic make fewer.
But who wants to attract buyers who have such unrealistic expectations? People like this are bound to be pains in the you know what, unserious, and nightmares to deal with.
If you want serious people, you make serious claims.
The wild claims people, says one of my marketing friends, have this advantage: they are selling the equivalent of chocolate.
The people who are being serious, selling you what you need (rather than selling you a dopamine rush full of wild fantasies of the smackers you'll make in three days), are selling the equivalent of broccoli.
Gee, chocolate vs. broccoli: I wonder who will win!
Well:
Today, because I respect you, I am offering you broccoli.
The low-class jackasses whom the chocolate vendors are pandering to don't read me anyway, so I don't need to pander to them even if I were inclined to.
This is for you serious people only.
At the link you will meet the person I myself go to when I am stumped in my business. Some of you have seen me inside his Facebook group asking questions.
For the price of a cup of coffee, he's giving you access to a bundle of trainings that amount to all that you need to know and then some.
Lately I've given you the "here's the bare minimum you'll need to know, and you can have a nice little business" stuff.
But here is the gold standard.
It's all there.
He's giving you access for $3.
Spend the indoors time absorbing as much as you can.
My emails come and go.
This is one you've got to jump on. No excuses:
