Yesterday on the Tom Woods Show I interviewed Adam Curry, whom many of you will remember as an MTV VJ in the late
1980s, and host of Headbanger's Ball.
He shared some stories from those days, including the time he traveled with a bunch of musicians, including Ozzy Osbourne, on a tour jet. When Ozzy desperately needed to use the one bathroom, which was occupied, he simply urinated in his pants right there in the aisle.
Mmkay.
More relevant for our purposes:
Curry was a pioneer in podcasting. At one point Steve Jobs called him in for a meeting, because he wanted to take Curry's innovation and make it available on iTunes.
Still more relevant:
The way Curry and his co-host finance their podcast is absolutely unique, and protects them against so-called "cancel culture."
And that's increasingly important, is it not?
It's nice to feel like there's nothing the mob can do to you.
This is why I keep saying: build something the nature of which is beyond mob intimidation.
The affiliate marketing side of my business is absolutely insulated from that crap.
And here's an extra secret: I like to promote things that help people so much that they want to keep buying them month after month -- because that means smackers for me, and therefore financial stability, month after month.
Where on Earth do I find these things?
Here's how.
