Know a great way to save time?
Don’t waste time on things that don’t work.
And those of us who have been at this for a while sure have learned what doesn’t work.
For instance:
I once ran an ad to Glenn Beck’s audience for one of my products. The product was perfect for them. They should have loved it.
Number of sales I got from that promotion:
Zero.
Not three or four and I’m rounding it off to zero. Literally zero.
The Beck people, never having seen an ad campaign flop so badly, actually offered me free ad space in another of their outlets because they felt so sorry for me.
Being an object of pity is not pleasant.
Today I know what went wrong with that campaign and what I would do differently. Not knowing what I know now, I wasted time and money that I did not have in abundance at the time.
Lesson for you:
Those of us with experience can not only tell you what works, but we can also keep you from emptying your wallet and wasting your time on things that – as we’ve learned the hard way – do not work.
And this week only, we’re sharing this with you for (much) less than a steak dinner.
Some business decisions are hard.
This one is about as easy as it gets:
