As I hope you know, Lew Rockwell and I did our traditional debate analysis episode today.
That means I can now talk about something else.
The whole world is talking about Trump and Biden.
I'd rather talk about someone you've never heard of, because this person will almost surely have a longer-lasting effect on your life than any politician.
It's a Donald, but it's not The Donald.
I first got to know Donald Wilson, CEO of GearBubble, by just writing to him after I decided I would use his platform for my little online Tom Woods store.
I was surprised when he actually answered me.
It turned out we had a lot in common, so we became Facebook friends. And when he recently shared one of my long posts about the idiocy of lockdowns, I was pleasantly surprised: this is a better guy than I thought!
Little did I know, before having Don as my guest for episode 1744 of the Tom Woods Show, that he had quite a story.
He started off as a debt collector, a job it would be impossible not to hate.
Eventually, after devoting what little spare time he had to figuring out how to make a living online instead, he began having very considerable success -- mainly by catering to dog lovers. (Immediately after recording his episode with me, in fact, he posted a selfie at a dog rescue.)
Then, as he explained on my show, he lost everything.
But he built it back and then some: five years after creating GearBubble, his platform has done over $100 million in sales.
So you could say he knows a teensy bit about this.
And he also knows how to help beginners crack into the world of print-on-demand. He knows what kinds of products work, at what time of year, for what audience, and how to find that audience.
The beauty of it is: you don't have to buy and sit on inventory. When someone buys something in your store, then Don's company makes and ships it for you. Not before.
So you don't exactly have to mortgage your house to do it. And frankly, compared to lots of other online businesses, it's fun to do.
Not to mention: the technology of 2020 makes doing it today vastly easier than it ever was before.
Imagine that: a store rioters can't burn down.
If 2020 isn't when you need a store like that, then when?
Sign up to watch Don's next presentation, and you'll thank me:
