Nobody else is going to ask you these questions.
But these are the two questions you need to answer.
Background to the questions:
Yesterday I brainstormed with you a bit by giving a few examples of membership sites off the top of my head, to show you the diverse array of products and services that can be turned into a membership (which means stable, recurring revenue for you):
People who help divorced women manage money.
People who teach people to train their dogs.
Veterinarians who teach people to keep their pets in optimal health.
Math teachers who share their lesson plans with other teachers.
Artists teaching people to paint.
Guitar players teaching people how to play guitar.
Photographers teaching people to take better pictures.
Entrepreneurs teaching people to start their own businesses.
Financial planners teaching people how to manage their money.
Anything you know about can become a membership.
Later this year I'm launching my third membership site. I wouldn't be doing this if it weren't a good model.
Month after month a membership site generates income. You make the sale once, but the revenue comes in like clockwork again and again as long as the visitor remains a member.
There are certain best practices for designing, creating content for, attracting members to, and keeping people subscribed to, a membership site. You should find out what these are.
Because imagine a life in which you check your phone in the morning and a boatload of rebills have come in during the night, while you were doing absolutely nothing.
Far fetched? Think again. This is how tens if not hundreds of thousands of membership site owners greet the day.
But it doesn't happen if you don't do anything.
Don't be a victim of Woods's Law: Nobody ever does anything.
Now for the questions.
What is your business all about -- or if you don't have one yet, what will it be?
and
How can you add a membership aspect to it, or even make it entirely membership based?
Or even this set of questions:
What is your hobby or skill?
and
Why not make a membership out of it?
Register right now for Stu McLaren's membership workshop to help walk through your answers. (Stu is the world's foremost authority on membership sites, having created the software that powers 70,000 of them.)
Later this year, when I launch my own, you'll see me following to a T the model Stu will lay out for you there.
But for heaven's sake, why just watch me do it from the sidelines?
